CONTENTS
"The edgings and insertions on plates I,II and V will seve to embellish window hangings, or as little curtains, antimacassars, &c.; the foundatuion on plate VII is specially suitable for bed-spreads and large covers. The wide edging on plate III, the insertions on plate VI and the foundation on plate VIII will look their best, the first two as trimmings, the last as background for curtains and blinds. To decorate church linen, such as fair linen cloths, albs and rochets, the edgings on plate IV should be chosen. The two squares on plate IX though more particularly intended for cushions and char backs, can be utilized as central motifs for table covers, bed-spreads, panels, blinds, &c."
